Rock 'n' Reel
Debbie Bonham produces a robustly entertaining sound on "Perfect World", her three track recent sampler that echoes with the gutsy vocal style made famous in the early seventies, shades of Janis Joplin and Slick abound and her brother's spirit still obviously is well respected by an artist dwelling in the musical past, but an eye and ear for the future.
Fusion
This is the sister of John from Led Zep but lets not talk about Led Zep because I think Debbie has star written all over her. This is AOR but lets not be biased - this single is brilliant. Debbie has been around the stars all her life and it shows. If songs like this got more airplay then the charts in this country would be much more interesting. She has a voice like an angel.
Wonderous Stories
The diversity of Debbie's influences is evident from the three tracks on this CD single. First, we have "Perfect World" a folk/country/rock track with a message in the lyrics, which happens to reflect the situation of her soulmate and guitarist Peter Bullicks proven unjust imprisonment in the USA some months ago. Next there is "What We've Got (Ain't For Sale)", a bluesy and slightly raunchy love song. The final song "No Other Love" is a beautiful gentle ballad. As a taster of Debbie's talent, the single certainly has me wanting to hear more.
